Being a MEMBER
at the North Peace Light Horse Association
We are a Member Owned and Run Facility! We have indoor and outdoor boarding, as well as an Indoor, outdoor arena and outdoor Rodeo grounds. Our riding facilities are open from 6am to 10pm daily.
The Club offers several flexible membership categories and payment options to make equestrian sport as accessible as possible. Membership Year: The membership year runs from the date you sign up to the same time the following year. If you join part way through the year, that’s ok your end date will be the following year.
Volunteering:
Volunteers play a significant role in keeping membership fees affordable. Whether you join a committee, assist with special events, or plan a fundraiser; you are helping to keep club costs down and in turn, your own membership dues. There are so many ways to get involved - contact nplighthorse@gmail.com to find out how to help keep the spirit of The Light Horse alive!

FAQ
But I don't own a horse...
That's okay! Some of our club instructors have lesson horses available. Our instructors can also help you find a horse for lease or purchase if this is of interest.
What do I need to get started?
First of we need to start with a Horse Council of BC membership number (or provincial equivalent). If you are planning on 1 or 2 rides a year a Daily ride pass should surfiest. Memberships can be purchased online for Family, Junior and Adults! New this year! We have monthly plans! Can't wait to see you out there! Remember to have your current Membership card on you incase of an emergency at all times.
When can I ride my green horse?
Great Question! Any weekday before 12pm is when green horses with under 30 rides can be worked or in the arena!
Do I need to wear a helmet?
Well, it is not mandatory for kids over the age of 17 to wear one. We believe it is a great safety practice to ride with a proper fitting riding helmet at all times.
